Under the HOME Program, "annual (gross) income" is calculated in order to determine whether a household's income makes it eligible to participate in a HOME program. PJs then calculate "adjusted income" for use in determining the total tenant payment (TTP) and the amount of PJ assistance applicable to the eligible household in the following situations:

 -   Tenant and PJ payments under a HOME-funded TBRA program;
 -   The rent for a tenant in a HOME-assisted rental unit whose income increases above 80 percent of the area median;
 -   The rent for a tenant if the PJ has a rental housing program in which rents are based on the household's ability to pay; and
 -   The household's eligibility for, and the amount of, assistance to be provided under the Uniform Relocation Act (URA) or Section 104(d) relocation and tenant assistance requirements.
