New IDIS Home Performance Measurement Screens

 Information by State
 Print version

THE HOME PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR FEEDBACK

What: Your opportunity to review new IDIS HOME Performance Measurement screens and tell us what you think.

When: Expired (comment period ended January 6, 2006)

Where: Right here on the web.

The Performance Measurement (PM) screens are the HOME Program Office model of how it plans to collect activity outcome information that will demonstrate program results at a national level. The model includes the screens and guidance as to how and where they will appear within the existing IDIS HOME screens.

We are optimistic that Performance Measurement screens will be available in IDIS in April 2006. Therefore, we need you, our field office and HOME PJs, to provide us your comments now so that we can incorporate your recommendations into the final design.

What to Expect

  • The HOME Program Performance Measurement model is limited to HOME screens. It does not include common path, activity funding or any other IDIS screens.
  • The guidance provided with each screen will explain where and when the Performance Measurement fields will be displayed.
  • The Performance Measurement screens are not interactive. They contain sample data that is representative of what might be entered by a PJ.
  • The HOME Performance Measurement screens follow the same mainframe format as the current IDIS screens. Be assured that when IDIS is migrated to the web, the screens will be adapted to take full advantage of the technology.
  • Further information on Outcome Performance Measurement is available.

How to Send Us Your Comments

  • Please tell us what you think about the Performance Measurement screens - what you like about them, what you don't like, changes you would make, changes you would make differently, and whether it's clear from the screens what the user can and should do. Also please let us know if any of the data elements being collected are of little or no value to you.
  • At the end of the series of screens is a link that you can select to e-mail the HOME Program Office. You may also choose to send comments from this webpage.
  • Thank you for your help.
