FANRP sponsors numerous conferences to encourage interaction
among researchers and policymakers. Two are held annually—the
Food Assistance and Nutrition Research Innovation and
Development Grants in Economics (RIDGE) Program Conference
and the Food Assistance and Nutrition Research Conference:
Emerging Issues and Recent Findings.
Other conferences
are hosted to address timely and policy-relevant topics
and are often co-sponsored with other institutions, such
as the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison, the Joint Center for Poverty Research
at Northwestern University/University of Chicago, the
Rural Policy Research Institute, and the Farm Foundation.
