Madagascar Joins the GLOBE Program
On June 11, 1997, the Madagascar's Minister of Secondary and Primary Education, Simon Jacqui, and the United States Ambassador to Madagascar, Vicki J. Huddleston, signed the agreement making Madagascar a partner in the GLOBE Program.Madagascar plans to involve schools throughout the country in GLOBE. The initial Malagasy GLOBE Schools will be located in Antananarivo, Nosy-be, Fianarantsoa, Tamatave, Mahajanga and Tulear.
