Toxics Release Inventory Program

The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a publicly available EPA database that contains information on toxic chemical releases and waste management activities reported annually by certain industries as well as federal facilities. news 2009 TRI National Training Conference Call for Presentations and Registration Announcement
Through a cooperative agreement, the Environmental Council of States (ECOS) and EPA are pleased to announce the annual ‘Call for Presentations’ for the next Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) National Training Conference, planned for March 30 - April 2, 2009, in Bethesda, Maryland. The theme for this year’s gathering is "TRI: Expanding Partnerships/Expanding Knowledge".

As co-sponsors, ECOS and EPA’s TRI Program invite you to submit your ideas for giving a presentation at the 2009 conference. If selected, your presentation will be given at the conference on March 31 or April 1.

news EPA announces the availability of the 5th annual Electronic Facility Data Release (e-FDR).
The 2008 e-FDR provides a form by form view of the TRI forms that has been received by EPA from facilities- as reported by July 1, 2008. These TRI forms contain chemical data that has been collected during 2007 by the facilities as required by EPCRA section 313.

By law, if your facility is in a covered industry, you must file your Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reports by July 1 of each year. This TRI compliance assistance Web page contains access to the resources necessary for industrial facilities to report their releases and transfers of certain toxic chemicals to meet EPCRA Section 313 requirements.
