Can I continue coverage I currently have under another non-Federal plan?

Answer:

If you are covered under a non-Federal health care plan, you are not required to leave your plan when you become a Federal employee. You also not required to enroll in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. If, at some time in the future, you lose coverage from the non-Federal health care plan, please check with your Human Resources Office about your FEHB eligibility.
