Long Term Care

I’m not currently enrolled. How do I enroll? When can I enroll?

Answer:

If you're eligible for the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, you’re eligible to apply for coverage in the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) at any time, by completing and submitting the Full Underwriting Application.

If you are newly eligible for coverage, you can apply using the Abbreviated Underwriting Application within 60 days of becoming eligible. Certain medical conditions, or combinations of conditions will prevent some people from being approved for coverage. You need to apply to find out if you qualify for coverage under the FLTCIP.
