Customer Service Award at IRS

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Center in Holtsville, New York, recently inaugurated a new customer service award for employees. The award is based upon an employee's recommendation and was developed by a joint labor-management team. This award will recognize up to 12 employees semi-annually for outstanding service to customers. Managers will submit nominations to a panel composed of two bargaining unit and two non-bargaining unit members in each division. The panel will refer nominations for final selection to the Director, IRS Center, and the President, NTEU Chapter 099. The recipients will receive a certificate, pin, and $250 award.

This is an example of labor-management partnership and employee involvement in action to promote the goal of providing the best service to our customers the taxpayers.

You may contact Bob DeNaro, Quality Coordinator, at 516-447-4859 for more information.
