GLOBE Surpasses 50,000 Student Observations!
The total number of GLOBE student data observations
reported reached 50,000 when students at Lakewood High
School in St. Petersburg, FL submitted a surface water
temperature reading on Wednesday, November 29. Working
under GLOBE Lead Teacher Ms. Lita Weingart, the GLOBE
students made the observation on November 20.
Shortly after this milestone was reached, students
working with GLOBE Lead Teacher Ms. Cindy Smith at
Vienna High School in Vienna, IL became the 500th
GLOBE school to report data.
