On May 31, 2007 the Tahoe Regional Executives (TREX) reviewed and recommended the final package for the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA) Round 8 Capital projects and Science and Research themes to the SNPLMA Executives.

Preliminary Recommendation Package (December 15, 2006)

The Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee (LTFAC) is pleased to present for review and consideration the Preliminary Recommendation Package for Capital projects and Science and Research themes for Lake Tahoe Restoration under Round 8 of the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA).

 

The proposed Round 8 Project Proposals for the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA) are now available. Follow the link provided below to view each individual project or follow the link on the right side of this page to view a spreadsheet summary of the proposals.

 

The USDA Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit received Round 8 proposals for Tahoe expenditures authorized by the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act of 1998 (SNPLMA, Public Law 105-263) as amended by the Clark County Conservation of Public Land and Natural Resources Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-282). Round 8 Project Proposal packages were accepted November 20, 2006 through December 15, 2006.

Lake Tahoe projects considered for funding must meet the following minimum criteria:

  1. Be the responsibility of the federal government in the Environmental Improvement Program (EIP); and
  2. Have a willing and ready federal sponsor.
Selection Process

All proposals received will go though a selection process described in the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act Implementation Agreement, dated June 2006. Please select this link to view this 1.4 M PDF document: Implementation Agreement.

Individuals who do not submit a proposal but would like to be involved in the project review and recommendation process can provide feedback to the Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee members and/or public comments can be made during a Lake Tahoe Federal Advisory Committee meeting. Submitting All Other Proposals to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)

The LTBMU will accept proposals for Lake Tahoe Projects only. For information on submitting project proposals for other areas, please visit the Bureau of Land Management SNPLMA web site at: http://www.nv.blm.gov/snplma/
