Bulgaria Joins GLOBE!
On September 8, 1998, Bulgaria became the 71st country to join the GLOBE Program. Bulgarian Minister of Education and Science Vesselin Metodiev and U.S. Ambassador Avis T. Bohlen signed an agreement providing for Bulgaria's participation in GLOBE. Two Bulgarian educators and two Peace Corps volunteers serving in the country will attend the September GLOBE International Training Workshop in Samos, Greece. GLOBE welcomes the students and teachers of Bulgaria!
