United Kingdom Hosts Train-the-Trainer Workshop
GLOBE is pleased to announce that the first workshop for GLOBE trainers in England took place on February 18th and 19th at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre near Coventry, England. Five trainers from Wildlife Trusts throughout England were trained in the GLOBE measurement protcols and learning activities. These individuals will conduct training workshops for GLOBE Teachers in eleven GLOBE schools selected for participation in a GLOBE pilot project.The Department of the Environment is supporting GLOBE in the United Kingdom. A consortium of Wildlife Trusts throughout England, led by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's trading company, Middlemarch Environmental, has been selected to train teachers, develop teaching materials, and work with other groups to ensure that GLOBE materials fit into the National Curriculum in England.
