New Collaborations:

MAP now has in place a collaborative agreement with the department of psychiatry at Howard University College of Medicine. By augmenting the ability of minorities with serious mental illness to participate in research, we will obtain cultural diversity in our subject population. Research exploring the possibility of ethnic differences in the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders is urgently needed. Research designs that include diverse populations will enable us to make cross-ethnic comparisons relevant to treatment choice, treatment outcome and treatment development.

We look forward to a rich collaboration with Howard, and to developing and expanding our relationships with other organizations.
