A cool-headed pilot maneuvered his crippled jetliner over New York City and ditched it in the frigid Hudson River on Thursday, and all 155 on board were pulled to safety as the plane slowly sank. It was, the governor said, "a miracle on the Hudson."

3-D "Valentine" may scare couples closer
"My Bloody Valentine 3-D," skillfully directed by Patrick Lurrier, returns to those entertainingly scary days of Freddy and Jason. Toss in first-rate 3-D and the movie not only pays a proper homage to the 1981 original but kicks it up about 1,000 notches.
