GLOBE Welcomes Fijian Schools
GLOBE is pleased to announce that Fiji has joined the GLOBE Program. On January 28, 1997,
Fijian Minister of Education Taufa Vakatale and American Ambassador Don Gevirtz signed the
GLOBE Agreement, making Fiji the 45th GLOBE Partner Country.
Initially, six Fijian schools will participate in GLOBE. Lalesh Kumar, the Fijian GLOBE
Country Coordinator, will attend the February International GLOBE Training Workshop in Guam
and will train teachers in Fiji upon his return.We look forward to Fijian students' participation in the GLOBE Program!
