Figure 9.4.2 is a District of Columbia map showing Any Tobacco Product Use in Past Month among persons aged 12 or older, by Substate Region: percentages, annual averages based on 1999, 2000, and 2001 NSDUHs.

The lowest group, Group 1's percentages ranged from 15.33% to 22.98%.
The next to lowest group, Group 2's percentages ranged from 22.99% to 26.79%.
The next lowest group, Group 3's percentages ranged from 26.8% to 30.15%.
The middle group, Group 4's percentages ranged from 30.16% to 33.39%.
The next highest group, Group 5's percentages ranged from 33.4% to 35.72%.
The next to highest group, Group 6's percentages ranged from 35.73% to 38.33%.
The highest group, Group 7's percentages ranged from 38.34% to 42.21%.
