Collaboration General Rubric

Globe measurements and investigations will often allow students to work in teams. The GLOBE Team Notebook is designed to provide some common assessment tools that the teacher can implement with teams as well as individuals. The criteria below represent aspects of team work that may be noted by the teacher in periodic observations of teams. The criteria may also be formatted into questionnaires to be completed by team members.

Criteria:

  • Contribution to the group task - The student engages in group tasks and fulfills agreed upon tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Participation in discussions - The student contributes to group discussions by both offering ideas and responding constructively to those of others.
  • Flexibility - Over time, the student takes on and completes a variety of roles (e.g., leaders, recorder, measurer, chart developer).
