The Philippines Join the GLOBE Program!
On January 14, 1999, international participation in the GLOBE Program expanded with the joining of the Philippines. Department of Science and Technology Secretary Dr. William G. Padolina and United States Ambassador Thomas C. Hubbard signed the agreement at a special ceremony in Manila.Dr. Emmanuel Ramos, Deputy Director of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, and Dr. Vicenta Reyes of Philippine Science High School will oversee implementation of GLOBE in the Philippines. We welcome the teachers and students of the Philippines to GLOBE!
