Mali Joins GLOBE!
On November 19, 1997, Mali joined the GLOBE Program. Foreign Minister Modibo Sidibe and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce Terry Garcia signed the GLOBE agreement at the GLOBE office headquarters in Washington, D.C. The event took place in conjunction with a visit by Mali President Alpha Oumar Konare to the White House.
The Institut Pedagogique National of the Ministry of Basic Education will implement the GLOBE Program in Mali.
GLOBE welcomes the teachers and students of Mali.
