Honduras Joins GLOBE!
On November 13, 1997, Honduras became a GLOBE partner country. Honduran Under Secretary of Environment Sergio Alejandro Zelaya and United States Ambassador James F. Creagan signed the GLOBE agreement in Tegucigalpa, the capital city.Honduras is planning to send two representatives from the Ministry of the Environment to the International GLOBE Training Workshop in Miami, Florida the week of November 17.
"The children of Honduras are now connected to their counterparts in all seven continents, working and learning together and helping to guarantee a healthier planet," remarked Ambassador Creagan at the signing ceremony.
GLOBE welcomes Honduras to the program and looks forward to their active participation!
