Secretary Daley Visits Costa Rican GLOBE School
On Monday, March 16, 1998, U.S. Secretary of Commerce William Daley will visit Neuvo Liceo de Hatillo, a GLOBE School in San Jose, Costa Rica. GLOBE students from all eight Costa Rican schools will join Secretary Daley and Costa Rican Minister of Public Education Eduardo Doryan Garron for this special visit.The GLOBE students will demonstrate atmospheric data collection protocols and show their guests how they use their school computer to report data to the GLOBE World Wide Web.
On March 19, 1998, the Costa Ricans will also be hosting a Web Chat on El Niqo and its effects, particularly in Central America. This will be the first ever GLOBE Web Chat conducted in Spanish.
