Sri Lanka Joins the GLOBE Program!
On December 20, 1999, Chairman of the Sri Lankan Central Environmental Authority Mr T. K. Dassanayake and U.S. Ambassador Shaun Donnelly signed the GLOBE agreement at a special ceremony in Colombo. A local newspaper, The Mid Week Mirror, published a report and photograph from the event.Mr. Wijayananda Rajapakse, the Director of Technical Education in the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, will serve as the coordinator of GLOBE activities in Sri Lanka.
