GLOBE Featured in Smithsonian Exhibit
GLOBE is proud to be part of a new exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The exhibit features a number of different ways in which global environmental data can be visualized, including projection of data as a three-dimensional sphere called the "Hologlobe." Visitors to the museum can also tour the GLOBE World Wide Web pages and see visualizations of GLOBE student data at a computer connected to the Internet and dedicated to featuring GLOBE. GLOBE is looking forward to further collaboration with the Smithsonian to help promote environmental research and awareness.
