September 17, 1998:
GLOBE Students Publish Research

GLOBE students understand the importance of creating hypotheses, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and reporting their results. This scientific process allows others to build on one another's findings. To facilitate the sharing of research findings, the GLOBE Web site has been expanded to provide an opportunity for students to publish the results of their studies using GLOBE data. The new site - Student Investigations - is a link under the Science and Education heading on the navigation bar.

GLOBE teachers are encouraged to work with their students to develop and conduct research using GLOBE data. A special Web chat for teachers interested in forming collaborations with other GLOBE schools is scheduled for October 8, 1998. See the Special Events page of the GLOBE web site for more details.
