GLOBE Welcomes Students in Trinidad and Tobago
Today, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago will become the 37th country to join the GLOBE Program. The GLOBE agreement is being signed at the Ministry of Education by Minister of Education Dr. Adesh Nanan and U.S. Ambassador Brian J. Donnelly. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago plans to initiate GLOBE in four schools--one in Tobago, the smaller island in the two-island Republic, and three schools in Trinidad: in Princes Town in southern Trinidad, in St. Augustine in north-central Trinidad, and in the capital city of Port of Spain.
The Ministry of Education will be responsible for GLOBE in Trinidad and Tobago, with assistance from the Environmental Management Authority.
