National Resource for Proteomics and PathwaysON THIS PAGE: SEE ALSO: National Resource for Proteomics and Pathways
Research EmphasisCurrent ResearchThe NRPP supports Proteome Informatics as well as development of technologies for interaction maps, phosphoproteomics, quantitative proteomics, and organellar proteomics. A major portion of NRPP resources are directed towards development of algorithms and software for protein identification, interaction maps, analysis of post-translational modifications, and protein expression profiling. Significant efforts are also put into data standards for developing and testing proteomics algorithms and tools as well as software and databases for integrating proteomics data. The Proteome Commons Resource CapabilitiesInstrumentsSciex model 4800 MALDI TOFTOF, Thermo Orbitrap, Thermo LTQ FTMS, vMALDI LTQ, ES LTQ, DE Pro MALDI TOF, ES QTOF, Robotics, Gel imaging, capillary HPLC, gel electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing. SoftwareThe NRPP supports a range of open source projects for proteomics and related areas. The majority of the projects
are based on Java. These are disseminated through the central Proteome Commons site for open source platforms and
frameworks (www.proteomecommons.org Special Features
