Poland Joins the GLOBE Program
We are pleased to welcome Poland as the 51st GLOBE partner country! Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Miroslaw Sawicki, and United States Ambassador to Poland, the Honorable Nicholas Rey, signed the GLOBE agreement on Earth Day, April 22, 1997. Poland plans to send representatives to the GLOBE Regional Training Workshop in Cologne Germany this summer and to implement the program in schools during the 1997-1998 school year, which begins in September. The United States Peace Corps will also be active in the implementation of the GLOBE Program in Poland.
