Applications must contain both a research proposal and a structured career development plan. FellowshipsRuth L. Kirschstein Individual National Research Service Award (NRSA) Fellowships(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/careers/research/trainingfunded/fellowships/index.cfm) provide an annual stipend, an allowance for tuition and fees, and an institutional research allowance. Applicants must identify a sponsoring institution and an individual who will serve as a sponsor (mentor or supervisor) and who will supervise the training and research experience.
