The Office of the Associate Director for Science (OADS) plays an integral role in EPO scientific and programmatic activities.  The OADS provides a wide range of support to EPO staff and assignees.   Some of the functions of the OADS include 

  • Advise EPO director and staff on science issues Assess scientific misconduct

  • Conduct scientific ethics training

  • Manage EPO adherence to IRB

  • Clear manuscripts and other publications

  • Collaborate/coordinate with other parts of CDC and
    outside organizations on science issues
