Performance Goal III: Maintain Code Standardization of two
regulatory officials per state.

1997
- Complete Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers per the Work Plan using Interim Procedures.
- Revise Interim Standardization Procedures to incorporate
risk-based approach/HACCP principles.
- Establish internal FDA working group to continue the enhancement
of the Procedures document.
- RFITT completed new Standardizations and Re-standardizations
of Specialists per Work Plan.
1998
- Completed Standardization and Re-standardization of state/local
regulatory officers per Work Plan - (30 percent of 2002 performance
indicator achieved).
- Complete new Standardization Protocol Procedures incorporating
risk-based approach/HACCP principles.
- RFITT completed new Standardization and Re-standardization
of Specialists per the Work plan.
1999
- Completed Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers per Work Plan (50 percent of 2002 Performance
indicator).
- Initiated Standardization of 20 ITP personnel (50 percent
or more food work).
- Incorporated Baseline data collection process into Standardization
Procedure.
- RFITT completed new Standardization and Re-standardization
of Specialists per Work plan.
2000
- Completed Standardization and Re-standardization of state/local
regulatory officers per Work plan (70 percent of 2002 performance
indicator achieved).
- Completed Standardization of ITS personnel per the Work
plan (50 percent of 2001 objective achieved).
- RFITT completed new Standardizations and Re-standardizations
of Specialists and ITS per Work plan.
- Developed Pre-standardization Workshop through DHRD.
- Developed Standardization Workbook as a training aid.
2001
- Completed Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers per the Work Plan (85 percent of 2002 performance
indicator achieved).
- Completed Standardization of ITS personnel (100 percent of
2001 objective achieved).
- Develop Regional Re-standardization process for Specialists
to address resource limitations.
- RFITT completed new Standardizations and Re-standardizations
of Specialists and ITS personnel per Work Plan.
- Developed three DHRD Pre-standardization Workshops.
2002
- Complete Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers to achieve performance indicator of 100 (2 per
state) by October 1, 2002 (exceeded 100 in 2003, but not 2 per state
in all cases).
- RFITT to complete new Standardizations and Re-standardization
of Specialists per the Work Plan.
- Adjunct Re-standardization process to be initiated and assessed.
- Reassess Operational Plan with the objective of establishing
a new performance indicator for Standardization of regulatory officials.
2003
- Issue revised and updated Standardization Procedures and
Workbooks.
- Maintain Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers to achieve performance indicator of 2 per state.
- Provide listing of persons FDA-certified per the Standardization
Procedures.
2004
- Maintain Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers to achieve performance indicator of 2 per state.
- Evaluate the current listing of standardized officials against the
performance goal and determine deficient areas where written action
plans need to be developed and implemented to achieve the performance
goal.
- Provide listing of persons FDA-certified per the Standardization
Procedures.
- Standardize new ITP and recertify ITP personnel per the Work Plan.
- Standardize federal agency personnel and tribal agency personnel
per the Work Plan.
- Review and update the Standardization Procedures as needed to be
consistent with the Supplement to the 2001 Food Code.
2005
- Maintain Standardizations and Re-standardizations of state/local
regulatory officers to achieve performance indicator of 2 per state.
- Evaluate the current listing of standardized officials against the
performance goal and determine deficient areas where written action
plans need to be developed and implemented to achieve the performance
goal.
- Provide listing of persons FDA-certified per the Standardization
Procedures.
