CPSC, NHTSA, Evenflo Announce Recall to Repair Evenflo Joyride Car Seats/Carriers

"When seat used as an infant carrier, the handle can unexpectedly release, causing the seat to flip forward. When this happens, an infant inside the carrier can fall to the ground and suffer serious injuries."

These reports include skull fractures, concussions, a broken leg, and numerous scratches and bruises."

"Juvenile product, mass merchandise and major discount stores nationwide sold these models throughout 1998. They cost between 30 and 90 dollars. Some came with a detachable base and others with a stroller."
