(Adult detaching seat from cradle swing) The seat of the "3-in-1 Cradle Swing" can be detached for use as a carrier. View of carrier on the ground with a doll next to it) When used as a carrier, (adult taking something out of the carrier) the handle locks on each side of the seat can unexpectedly release, (adult putting doll inside the carrier) causing the seat to flip forward. (seat flipping forward and doll falling out) When this happens, infants can fall to the ground and suffer serious injuries.

(Doll inside the carrier) There have been 28 reports of the carrier's handle unexpectedly releasing, (adult picking up carrier and flipping it to demonstrate infant falling, doll falls out of the seat) resulting in injuries to 10 infants. Injuries include 1 skull fracture, bumps, bruises and scrapes to the head.

(Adult spreading out repair kit) Fisher-Price is providing a free repair kit, including new locking mechanisms, labels, and instructions. (adult flipping over carrier and repairing the handle) The repair can be easily done in the home, (close-up of handle) without any tools. (adult checking to make handle is securely in place) Once completed, the carrier's handle will be permanently locked in place.

(Baby in cradle swing, adult watching it closely) Consumers should stop using the swing's seat as a carrier immediately. (close of baby in cradle swing) However, parents can continue to use the seat as intended, as a cradle swing.(finger pointing to lettering) The recalled carriers are model numbers 79321 or 79322. (adult picking up carrier and flipping it over to look for the model number) The model number is located on the bottom of the seat. Only swings with detachable carriers are included in this recall.

(View of activity dome) Fisher-Price is also recalling about 235,000 "Bounce 'n Play Activity Domes." (view of product box, which reads in part: "Fisher-Price") The "Bounce 'n Play Activity Domes" have been sold at stores nationwide from December 1998 through March of this year for about 50 dollars.

(Dome with baby inside it, adult playing with baby) The activity dome has a play and nap surface that is suspended from a metal frame so that the surface can bounce with babies' natural movements. There are two nylon bands on either side of the play and nap surface that hold it level. (close-up of bands) These nylon bands can detach, allowing the surface to tilt. (doll being put in all the way at the end of the dome) This can cause an infant to gradually slide against one end and be trapped in a position in which it is difficult to breathe, posing a suffocation hazard.

There have been 28 reports of the nylon band detaching. No injuries have been reported. (two metal brackets and instructions being shown) This recall and repair program is intended to prevent the possibility of injury.

(Close-up of repair being done) Fisher-Price is providing a free repair kit that will strengthen the support for the play and nap surface to keep it level. The repair can be easily done in the home with a(close-up of screwdriver being used to put in screws) Phillips head screwdriver. (screw being tightened) The two metal brackets on either side of the play and nap surface will relieve the stress on the nylon band and ensure that the surface stays in a level, horizontal position.

(Dome being spread out over flat surface) Consumers should not use the "Bounce 'n Play Activity Dome" until the repairs have been made.

(Adult checking underneath dome) Check to see if your activity dome is part of this recall. (close-up of tag, which reads in part: "Fisher-Price; East Aurora, N.Y. 14052; 1999; 79534") First look for model number 79534 on the notice tag located on the bottom of the product. (close-up of character code) Then check for a six character code on the bottom center of the tag. (tag) If the code ends with number 8, the activity dome is recalled. If the code ends with number 9 and begins with numbers 001 through 286, the activity dome is recalled. Only products with these numbers are part of the recall.

(Woman taking baby out of dome) Consumers should discontinue using the product immediately and call Fisher-Price to see if it is part of the recall. If it is, Fisher-Price will provide a (metal bracket and instructions) free repair kit that will strengthen the support for the play and nap surface. (woman calling company) (number shown) Call 1-800-505-0600 anytime Monday through Friday.

(Baby being put into repaired dome) One the repairs have been completed, the suspended, play and nap surface will be firmly held in a level, horizontal position.

(CPSC's Chairman Ann Brown speaking) "If you're using either the carrier or the activity dome, it's important to make this repair, you could help protect your baby from injury by doing it."
