Draft Voluntary Standards Proposals



U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) staff promotes safety by providing technical support for voluntary standards activities for a wide range of consumer products. This includes making proposals for new or revised standards, or commenting on proposals for new or revised standards. You can view and comment on staff’s draft recommendations to improve safety requirements prior to their submittal to voluntary standards organizations.

Below you will find links to CPSC staff’s draft recommendations that are currently available for review. Draft recommendations that are posted on this site will be available for review and comment for a minimum of 5 days prior to their removal and finalization. CPSC staff will assess comments that are received and take account of such comments when finalizing the recommendations.

If you care to provide comments concerning any of these recommendations, please submit your comments by e-mail to cpsc-os@cpsc.gov - if you are unable to submit comments by e-mail, you may submit written comments to:

Comments must be received by the date noted. Please clearly identify the specific subject your comments address in the caption or title. CPSC staff will assess comments that are received and take account of such comments when finalizing their recommendations. Please note that you will not receive a direct response to your comments.
