Sixth graders Kelly Miller and Matthew Durkin, and seventh grader Patrick Santangelo, showed a packed room in the House of Representatives Rayburn Office Building how GLOBE students use the Internet and the World Wide Web to share environmental data collected at their school with the scientific community and with other GLOBE schools around the world. "I'm glad I can help the scientists with their work," Kelly said. "Who knows, maybe they will discover something important!"
"I really liked explaining the program to kids my age," said Patrick. Matt agreed, adding, "I enjoyed putting on a presentation in front of all those schools and Congress people in Washington. I hope that one day the GLOBE program will be in every school throughout the country."
