Forest Plan Revision

Welcome to the Forest Plan Revision website for the Kootenai and Idaho Panhandle National Forests.

In March of 2007, the 2005 Planning Rule was enjoined and the Forest Service was not permitted to utilize and/or implement the 2005 Planning Rule.  The Final 2008 Planning Rule and Record of Decision were released on April 21, 2008. We are evaluating the new Rule, along with our current situation, and determining the best course of action for moving forward. Once we resume revision efforts, everyone on our mailing list will be contacted.
