The Center for Retirement and Insurance Services will continue to provide Federal employees, retirees and their families with benefits, programs, and services that offer choice, value, and quality to help maintain the government’s position as a competitive employer.

Retirement Services Program

  • Adjudicates retirement and death claims
  • Determines entitlement for annuities, life insurance, and health benefits
  • Makes disability retirement determinations

Insurance Services Program

  • Negotiates benefits with 180 participating health plans annually
  • Administers and monitors health, life, and long term care insurance and flexible spending accounts for health.and dependent care
