In January, students at BRG Zell am See, pictured here taking hydrology
measurements, gave a presentation about their participation in GLOBE as
part of an environmental contest and won! With their prize money they
were able to upgrade their computers and purchase scientific instruments
for GLOBE--congratulations! Also last January, these students participated in
a pedagogical computer fair in Salzburg, Austria, at which they demonstrated
the GLOBE Student Data Server. Because of their involvement in the fair, the
students were the subjects of many newspaper articles and news stories.
The GLOBE students at Bundeshandelsakademie und Bundeshandelsschule Bregenz, pictured here building their own instrument shelter, have been analyzing their atmospheric temperature and precipitation measurements! See their plot of maximum/minimum temperature measurements taken in February. Be sure to visit the Austrian GLOBE Homepage at http://www.asn.linz.ac.at/ip95/globe.htm
