Is myasthenia gravis genetic?

  • No. Myasthenia gravis is not thought to be directly inherited. It can be caused by certain treatments such as Penicillamine, interferon alpha, or bone marrow transplant, however in most cases the underlying cause of the disease is unknown.[1][2]
