German GLOBE School Hosts U.S. Ambassador
On November 10, United States Ambassador to Germany, John C. Kornblum, visited Goethe Schule, a GLOBE School in Wetzlar, Germany. During his visit, GLOBE students discussed "Global Cooperation - Can It Help Solve Our Environmental Problems?" The discussion is being published on the school's Web site (

During the Ambassador's visit, the students also conducted a Web chat, demonstrated GLOBE protocols, and planted a GLOBE tree as a sign of global cooperation. GLOBE schools from other countries joined Goethe Schule in welcoming the Ambassador by sending email messages in recognition of his visit.
