The Business Procurement Assistance Center (BPAC) provides technical and marketing assistance to Wisconsin businesses interested in selling their products and services to the government. Our mission is to provide Wisconsin businesses the necessary tools to be competitive in the contracting arena. Meet BPAC's staff.

In fiscal year 2006/2007, BPAC assisted nearly 1,000 Wisconsin businesses win over $522 million in contract awards breaking last year's record of $358 million. The Department of Defense estimated a total of 10,400 jobs were created and/or retained based on BPAC assistance. For every $1 of the BPAC operating budget, $644 is returned to Wisconsin businesses through contract awards.

• A minority-owned firm located in Middleton supplies toner cartridges to the United States White House.

• A Native American owned firm, with it's manufacturing facility in Ft Atkinson, has won major defense contracts to make repair parts for Army vehicles.

• A small, woman-owned business located Madison provides legal transcription services for state governments across the nation.

• A small machine shop located in the Historically Underutilized Business Zone of Montello is critical to the Department of Defense supply chain, supplying parts for Navy control systems and Army troop support equipment.

What do these firms all have in common? 
They all received assistance from Madison Area Technical College's Business Procurement Assistance Center.
