This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for a firm-fixed price contract to replace the Sidewalk in various locations of the U.S. Capitol Grounds for the Architect of the Capitol, Washington D.C.

The contract work can be summarized as follows:



a) Erection of barricades and warning lights.



b) Removal of indicated existing concrete sidewalk and preparation of subgrade.



c) Provision of new aggregate concrete sidewalk.



d) Realignment of existing granite curb and the replacement of any curb that is deemed

unsafe for public.



Estimated value of the work to be performed for this project will be between $500,000 and $1,000,000.



THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY AT: http:www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm by JULY 30, 2008, with a PROPOSAL DUE DATE OF AUGUST 30, 2008. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. ALL REQUESTS FOR DRAWING MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING ON, OR BEFORE JULY 28, 2008.
