November 30, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- In response to the National Performance Review, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the Department of Treasury will enter into an agreement that combines resources to develop, maintain and deliver financial training to federal managers. [News Release]

November 30, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- Most federal employees soon will be able to use up to 13 days of sick leave each year to provide medical or personal care to a family member, under rules announced today by U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King. In addition, employees will be allowed to use sick leave to make arrangements for or attend the funeral of a family member, or to pursue any activity related to the adoption of a child. The 13-day leave limit does not apply to adoptions. [News Release]

November 22, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King today announced that the agency is issuing final regulations that will improve the administration of the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program and result in better service to employees, retirees and survivors enrolled in the program. November 21, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- During Thanksgiving week, designated by Congress and the President as National Caregivers Week, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the U.S. Administration on Aging will join forces to encourage federal agencies to recognize those employees who provide care for elderly relatives and friends. November 16, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- In fulfilling another recommendation of the Clinton Administration's National Performance Review, U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King today announced the elimination of two barriers to federal hiring at the entry-level for professional and administrative occupations.
