May 27, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- The Executive Committee of the Interagency Advisory Group will sponsor the "Partners for Change" conference to provide federal personnel officials and other members of the personnel community a forum from which to learn about improvements to strategies, approaches and methods in the delivery of human resource services. May 10, 1994: Washington, DC-Federal employees facing the dilemma of caring for a sick family member will soon have a more "family friendly" leave option to help meet their caregiver needs. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is proposing to allow employees to use sick /eave to care for certain family members who are ill, or for bereavement purposes. [News Release]

May 6, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- Five employees of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) will be honored today by President Clinton at a White House ceremony in recognition of the professional and personal support they provided to a fellow employee diagnosed with HIV in 1988. [News Release]

May 4, 1994: Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Jim King today announced the names of 12 local Combined Federal Campaigns that will receive awards for the charitable donations of federal employees, servicemen and women, and postal employees.
