ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar (Nov. 13, 2008) -- Senior Malagasy officers, left, provide an update on Madagascar's maritime strategy development process to the U.S. defense attaché and the Naval War College team at the American Cultural Center. The Naval War College, in partnership with U.S. Naval Forces Africa (NAVAF), assisted the island country of Madagascar with developing its own maritime strategy, during a November visit by four professors to conduct a workshop for various interagency personnel.
