Local Authorities Whose Inspections Are Acceptable in Lieu of Inspections by HUD Fee Inspectors Philadelphia Homeownership Center

Effective 10/23/2001, the Philadelphia Homeownership Center (HOC) no longer requires approval of local municipalities prior to acceptance of their new construction inspections. Rather, if the municipalities adhere to Mortgagee Letter 01-27 requirements and issue both a Building Permit, or equivalent, and a Certificate of Occupancy (CO), or equivalent, HUD FHA will accept the CO as evidence required inspections were made. The Local Authorities are listed below.
