TTB Notice No. 41 Comments

FORM LETTER 13

Dear U.S. TTB,

I believe that information like serving size and alcohol per serving should be provided on beer, wine and spirits packages.

However, the federal government is not currently allowing voluntary disclosure of this factual information on bottles.

Information on product content is required to be printed on the packaging for food, nonalcohol beverages, medicines and even dietary supplements. There is no reason that alcoholic beverages should be precluded from this group. Some may argue that it is even more important than many other consumable products as it would foster responsible decision making.

I urge you to allow companies that make and sell beer, wine and spirits to include basic serving facts on their labels.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sincerely,

[Brewery/Business/Association Name Here]
