Course and Class Listings Explanation


The course information in the Master Schedule is organized in alphabetical order by the department abbreviation for each campus. Each listing gives the sections for each course to be offered by that department during the quarter.

Course: Course Number: The use of letters (A, B, C, etc) as suffixes indicates that the course is offered for a special group of students. Explanations for the most common suffixes are:

D Distance Learning Course (Web taught)
E Delaware Center
F Clinic/Field Experience
M Limited to those students fulfilling a major requirement (scheduling preference for dual listed
sections will be given to students who are registered for the "M" section of the course).
N Night course
O Course taught off campus
R Regional Campus Chemistry and Physics courses only
S Service Learning Course
W Approved workshop
V Video taught at Learning Centers

Prefix
Meaning
E Designates an honors embedded course and is available only to honors students
H Designates an honors course and is available only to honors students.
L Designates a Law College Course
T Designates an Agriculture Technical Institute Course

Credit: The credit hours available for the offering.

Call: Call number: A unique set of numbers used to register for a class section. These numbers change every quarter.

Res: Restriction Codes: These codes indicate that special scheduling restrictions apply to that section. DO NOT request these sections unless you meet the requirements. Ineligible students will be removed from the class on the first day it meets. The web site checks the prerequisites for sections marked with a double asterisk (**). If you have not met the prerequisites, the web site tells you. Should this happen and you believe you have met the prerequisites, verify your record with your college office. If you feel there is a problem contact your college office first. If the problem continues contact the Registrar’s Office.

Time: Class starting and ending time. Normal class periods are 48 minutes in length, beginning on the half hour. Only the starting time is listed for classes of normal length. Classes exceeding one hour have starting and ending times listed.

Bldg: Building. Building names are indicated with a two letter abbreviation. See campus map for full building name.

Room: Room Number.
