Strategic HR

The HR LOB is creating documents on Strategic HR to assist Shared Service Centers (SSCs) and Agencies as the role of HR transforms in the Federal Government. HR LOB's documents on Strategic HR were created as part of a multi-agency effort, which convened HR Subject Matter Experts from across government to contribute to each of the documents. The documents provide guidance for transformation of the Human Resources business function throughout the Federal Government, providing a basis for the Federal Government to rethink its approach to Human Resources management. Collection of Best Practices

The HR LOB — A collection of practices for Human Resources shared services and service delivery report identifies practices for Federal agency transformation through a shared services delivery model, providing both customer agencies and service providers a compilation of current, relevant shared services and service delivery practices and sample benchmarks. This report supports the HR LOB vision of governmentwide, modern, cost-effective, standardized, and interoperable HR solutions providing common, core functionality to support the strategic management of human capital and addressing duplicative HR systems and processes across the Federal Government.

HR LOB — A collection of practices for Human Resources shared services and service delivery - September 28, 2007 – HR LOB completes the first ever collection of practices for Human Resources shared services and service delivery.

Federal Case Studies

The Federal Case Studies is an addendum to the HR LOB — A collection of practices for Human Resources shared services and service delivery report. The report contains two case studies "Improving Federal Hiring Practices and Service Delivery" and "Evaluating and Improving Performance Management Systems" showcasing five Federal agencies. The case studies describe the practices and systems that have been put into place to improve the employee appraisal process and lay the foundation for improved performance management at each agency.

HR LOB Federal Case Studies — February 28, 2008 — HR LOB completes the Federal Case Studies report which showcases Federal HR success stories.

Payroll Benchmarking

The HR LOB Federal Payroll Benchmarking Report documents the performance of the Federal payroll providers and compares the results to comparable industry benchmarks, where applicable. This report demonstrates that the Federal payroll providers support the HR LOB vision and goals by providing payroll services in an efficient and cost effective manner to the 1.6 million customers they serve.

HR LOB Federal Payroll Benchmarking Report — October 1, 2008 — HR LOB completes the Federal Payroll Benchmarking Report which documents the success of the Federal payroll providers in providing efficient and cost effective payroll services to the Federal community.
