HR LOB Future Milestones

The HR LOB initiative has made significant progress toward standardization, development of the common solution, and establishing an effective governance. Going forward, the HR LOB initiative plans to focus on activities and efforts in the following areas:

  • Provide Strategic HR/Transformation Guidance – HR LOB will provide both agencies and SSCs guidance on strategic human resources and workforce leadership challenges. Under the Strategic HR/Transformation workstream, the HR LOB plans to develop a report for retained HR practices, payroll and core HR benchmarking studies, and transformation support/toolkit to agencies.
  • Provide SSC Support and Management – The HR LOB will continue to update the Migration Planning Guidance to include SSC service offerings and publish version 2.0 of the Migration Planning Guidance, manage private/public sector SSC schedules, and manage migration of agencies to SSCs.
  • Provide Enterprise Architecture/Requirements for SSCs – HR LOB will continue to develop the Technical Model, which will establish a common view of relevant technologies and compile a set of applicable government standards for each of the technology services identified. HR LOB also plans to develop a Separation Management Concept of Operations that will describe the functional requirements for off-boarding an employee, propose a process and technology model for delivering these services, and recommend an overall strategy for agencies to acquire the future solution.
