Hotel Information

The USNRC’s 21st Annual Regulatory Information Conference (RIC) will be held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Rockville, Maryland. This page is intended to provide hotel accommodation information for RIC participants and includes the following:

Location

The Bethesda North Hotel and Conference Center is located at 5701 Marinelli Road, North Bethesda, Maryland 20852. The Conference Center is adjacent from the White Flint Metro Station and diagonally located from U.S. NRC Headquarters. Nearby airports include Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), Washington Dulles (IAD), and Reagan National (DCA).

Accommodations

Concierge level rooms provide upgraded amenities and access to the Concierge Lounge which serves continental breakfast, evening hor d’oeuvres, and all-day beverages. Guest accommodations include 223 guest rooms and a total of 5 spacious and well-appointed suites for special occasions or VIP guests. Ideally designed for business travelers, each guest room is equipped with high-speed Internet access; individual climate control; two telephones with message notification, modem lines, and voice mail; Color TV with cable movie channels and in-room pay movies; an alarm clock radio; hair dryer; iron and ironing board; safe-deposit boxes; in-room coffee and tea; and complimentary in-room newspaper delivery.

Room Reservations

Although the USNRC does not endorse any commercial lodging, USNRC has reserved a limited number of government rated sleeping rooms at the Marriott Conference Center for your convenience. The Marriott Conference Center discounted room rates will apply.

To make reservations at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, call (301) 822-9200 and use the conference identifier "REIREIA". The NRC discounted room block and rooms outside the block will sell out quickly, so please make your reservations early.

Area Attractions

The list of activities and attractions is constantly changing in thanks to an active cultural community and special exhibits spanning the arts, history and science.
